Comic workshop with Austrian artist Sybille Vogel at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad
The one day comic workshop held by Sibylle Vogel at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad focussed on the interaction between text and image - sequential narratives - and on the development of a individual picture language.
The students were asked to bring a text which should tell something funny, sad, crazy or science-fictional around the topic "A Day at Home".
Mostly, the students took childhood memories as a basis for their graphical stories. The result was a kaleidoscope of Indian living cultures and family life as the students came from all parts of India.
Der eintägige Comicsworkshop am National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, Indien war dem Zusammenspiel zwischen Text und Bild und der Entwicklung einer persönlichen Bildersprache gewidmet.
Die Studenten sollten einen Text mitbringen, der etwas Lustiges, Trauriges, Verrücktes oder Fantasy-mäßiges zum Thema "A Day at Home" erzählen sollte.
Die Studenten setzten vor allem Erinnerungen aus der Kindheit um, und da sie aus allen Teilen Indiens kamen, konnte sich ein vielfältiges Bild von indischen Wohnkulturen und Familienleben ergeben.
